Bearcelona Cruise
Bearcelona Cruise was born when we discovered the largest (3200 guests) ALL-GAY cruise in Europe was leaving from our home city, we wanted to be there. We would like to involve as many men from bear community as possible.
THE ITINERARY
From Barcelona to Rome combining top greek islands (gay capital Mykonos and stunning Santorini) with the masterpieces of Michelangelo or Leonardo Da Vinci. Or other mediterranean jewels such as Marseille, Florence or Naples.
THE SHIP
On board you can enjoy 2 swimming pools, gym, spa, jacuzzi, sauna, ice skating rink, mini-golf, rock-climbing wall, full court basketball, volleyball track, a huge theater, casino, cabaret show, restaurants, etc.
ALL-GAY CRUISE
Forget about traditional cruises. This is an LGBT cruise. Cruise etiquette are here slightly different. Leather, militar, drag or white depending on the theme night. Or wear your best suit-and-tie. After dinner, top deck is transformed in the best club: lasers, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, international Djs, stars in the sky, ocean breeze and hairy chests.
PRE-CRUISE
Discover Barcelona and Sitges and combine it with activities such as Bear beach or a very special 4th-of-July party. Can you imagine a 9 day Bearcelona-On-Tour party? Who has never dreamed of a ship full of bears and friends?
Does A Bear Sing In The Woods? starring Bill McKinley Location:
New York City
The fur hits the fans when this willy nilly silly ole bear pays musical homage to hirsute men and the people who love them. Award-winning recording and cabaret artist Bill McKinley’s new show DOES A BEAR SING IN THE WOODS? promises a tuneful romp proving that Bears are, indeed, the new Black.
DOES A BEAR SING IN THE WOODS? will play at The Metropolitan Room for four Wednesdays, starting with Pride Week--June 25th, July 2, 9 & 16th. The first two weeks will benefit Metrobears and The NYC Gay Men's Chorus. Performances are at 9:45 p.m.; there is a $20 cover and a two-drink minimum. The Metropolitan Room is located in NYC at 34 W 22nd St, and reservations can be made at 212-206-0440.
Returning to the Metropolitan Room following his critically-acclaimed Disney show DON’T TELL WALT, McKinley’s new show will cover many of the topics of concern to “caBearet” lovers: namely, food, fun, frolic, and naps.
Of Bill McKinley, Backstage said: “Bill McKinley sings with a sheen, a rare purity...a stunning vocal instrument...He should be seen and heard,” and Cabaret Hotline Online added, “Bill McKinley is one of the finest male vocalists in NYC-and should be doing 50 shows a year!,” while NEXT Magazine cites him as a “Silver-voiced teddy bear (with a) luxurious tenor and sly sense of humor.”
An avowed “BSB” (Bear Since Birth), Bill has been heard in Disney attractions and films (POCAHONTAS and MULAN), as well as on hundreds of national and regional commercials for clients including McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Cadillac, Subway, Buick, Chevrolet, Pizza Hut and Wendy’s.
In 1992, Bill’s debut solo recording EVERYTHING POSSIBLE was released to both critical and popular acclaim: “Bill McKinley’s miraculous album EVERYTHING POSSIBLE is a stunning musical debut! Any true connoisseur of great singing and good taste will immediately rush out and BUY THIS ALBUM!!!”- Michael Callen.
His 1996 followup album, the winter collection THE CLOSING OF THE YEAR, has also sold out, and also received considerable critical acclaim: “This is my favorite new album. Bill’s voice comes from a place that feels like a warm fire with mulled cider and melting snow.”-VICE Magazine
Bill McKinley’s career as an openly-gay entertainer began in 1991 when he accepted an invitation to work with The Flirtations, the ground-breaking gay a capella singing group, as a substitute and understudy for the late Michael Callen.
